Any fan of Zakk has seen the superb range of his musical skills and talents.Whilst it was easier to see the various styles and "tones" in Zakk's earlier albums and videos, it is brilliantly clear in this album that Zakk can merge all of his influences and still come up to the occasion with great songs. I had bought some earlier songs with "Accoustic" versions of Heavier songs, including the great video "Unblackened" and extras on some albums with his brilliant work on accoustic versions of his songs. Zakk has said he is in it for the long haul, and this album proves it. If anything, this album should bring in more fans. As the older musicians have said, a good song works in accoustic as well as electric ( "heavier" ) versions. I will not say more than that except that if you have enjoyed Zakk's various albums, then this will come out as no surprise. Also, I do hope the Black Label Society as a fan "club" at least will keep on rolling. I love the gear they have. Anyway, this album is very good, a great listen, and I really hope that it brings in more fans, cos the wider the audience, the more the fans will appreciate it ( and I dont distinguish between good and bad fans, since some fans stick more to earlier incarnations of Zakks work, which is fine, but music and entertainment is what Zakk does. I am always impressed with the "lightening" that Zakk produces.
