I seem to spend most of my time reading well researched well reviewed books these days since I became addicted to Kindle, and many of the books that are out there are easy to be distracted from due to either poor continuity, poor storyline, poor accuracy or all of the above.This book is an absolute breath of fresh air. Extremely well written, fantastic descriptive detail, highly believable and engaging characters, and the sort of prose you would expect from someone who is clearly a professional writer, and has been writing for a long time. I finished the book in about 3 sittings, simply unable to put it down. Who is this Gabe? What happened to her? Is Rafa on her side or does he have his own agenda? Is Daniel all he's cracked up to be? Does he really believe in everything he is trying to represent or does he have his own agenda? Written in first person from the perspective of Gaby, a young woman who has recently lost her brother and most of the memory of her former life, in car accident...or so someone would have her believe, you start to actually embody her sense of confusion as she tries to make sense of who she is, who the people around her are, why they all know her, why they are scared of her.What was she? What were her beliefs? With whom was she aligned? As she discovers that she is no innocent confused teen, but the offspring of a fallen Angel, part of the Rephaim, an organisation trying to gain favour with the Host of Heaven by delivering their fallen from grace fathers to the gates of Hell.....Written in a fast paced, witty, belivable and modern context, this book is a rip-roaring fantastic read.
