The first time I heard Shabazz was on the verse in the 'Sunz Of Man' song '5 Arch Angels'. Shabazz The Disciple was an original member of the 'Sunz Of Man', and when he didn't appear on the album 'The Last Shall Be First' I wondered where he had gone. His rhyme skills are up high in the ranks of the underground rap scene and a member of the Wu Family. I first realized his genius in the 2011 album 'Hood Scripturez',(see my review)as his lyrics are of knowledge and biblical references that he uses as street parables. Even better than 'Killah Priest' does IMO. That same year he released 'Hood Hopera',(see my review)an album that had a chance but lacked with weak and muffled production. The talent is here.Rewind back 9 years earlier to this album, 'Hidden Scrollz' evaded my radar until just recently. Why isn't this MC more popular, theres a lack of reviews of his albums, and as we speak Lil Wayne and Drake are selling crappy Hip-Pop.Look Peeps, This is REAL Hip-Hop and a fan of that will agree with Shabazz The Disciple, especially this release. This album is a all the way through banger with a few skits. Not only is it real but knowledgeable in his religious themes as street scrolls. This is HOT STUFF!! Get it and spread the word.
