More complex than The Goats, this novel also addresses the moral and ethical dilemmas a teenager may confront, while at the same time being intensely absorbing and entertaining. The focus here is on maturity, and what makes an individual "mature." A 15-year-old is far more mature than the adults in her life. This is a beautifully written book.
