I was provided an advanced copy to read but I love Eric's books and I bought the book for my collection.I have enjoyed the Vesik series from the very first chapter I read and have been hooked ever since! The series is fun, the characters are relateable and lovable/hateable at the same time. Eric Asher builds on each preceding story to continue developing characters that feel "real" somehow. This is the first in a new series of novellas that Eric is writing to take the story in new directions and I love it! Each novella will be told from a different characters perspective and a few new characters might get thrown into the mix while this is happening. This first installment is told from the perspective of Vicki, and it is great. I also liked the addition of the Civil War Ghost, but I don't want to put too many spoilers in my review.In the real world where bills, work, stress, and everything else builds up, it is so awesome to have some pure escape from time-to-time. Eric Asher provides this in his writing and he is a gifted and talented story teller. I am happy I have found his books and you should do yourself a favor and read them as well.Great Job Eric!
