This book is well-done and a lot of fun, but be sure it's what you're looking for. This is NOT a "how to doodle" book. (Etsy seller Chubby Mermaid has an AMAZING book for that purpose -- perfect for those of us who need actual instructions to doodle!) It's more doodling prompts and projects.They're very approachable, with easy-to-follow instructions and -- for most -- plenty of room to practice right inside the book. The pages are even extra-sturdy to hold up to "wetter" media. A few projects will need to be done outside the book just due to their nature. There's a project that involves doodling on wood, one that is for textiles, etc. Obviously you can't do these inside the book!The book is colorful, too, with lots of doodled examples to get your creative juices flowing. I did find it slightly awkward to work with, because the book is slightly "oversized" and it doesn't open flat.Still, I would definitely recommend it -- just don't expect it to teach you HOW to doodle; if that's what you're looking for you'll want to get something else for that and then come BACK to this.
